Transforming an internal garage into a fully functional living space is a popular home renovation project. Our recent case study showcases a full (internal) garage conversion that involved several major upgrades. We started by infilling the existing doorway and cutting a new internal doorway to create a seamless transition into the house. To bring more natural light into the space, we installed a new full-width, high-spec uPVC window, and a ½ glazed door replacement. To ensure the space was comfortable throughout the year, we also installed gas central heating. Finally, we completed the renovation by giving the entire area a full white decoration and repairing the block paving driveway. One of the most significant challenges of this project was creating a smooth transition from the converted garage to the main house. Our team successfully achieved this by infilling the existing doorway and creating a new internal doorway. We also installed a high-spec uPVC window to let in more natural light, making the space feel brighter and more welcoming. The new internal door set and frame added an extra layer of insulation, ensuring the converted garage remained warm and comfortable throughout the year. The addition of gas central heating was an excellent choice to provide a cost-effective and efficient heating solution. Overall, the client was delighted with the final result, which transformed their garage into a functional and stylish living space that seamlessly blends with the rest of the house.
